For the first picture I noticed the different patterns in the picture such as the windows, doors, poles, and pavement. I think they work well to lead the viewer's eyes around the corner. I'm not sure where you focused, but I'm guessing it was the pole or the statue. My eye leads me to the statue in the back, making it the focal point. The foreground subject seems a little blurry but that might be because the aperture is not as high as in your other photo. But, I love the framing and point of view in the photo.
For the second photo, I can see the focal point being the car, which is also the middleground subject. The shutter speed seems too low but it looks like everything is in focus. I love the way the lines on the building lead my eye down this alley, as well as the lines that the grill form. I also like that the color of the pole (foreground subject) is red and the car is also red. I like the way the light comes into this alleyway so that when I look at the photo, it feels like I'm hiding behind the grill in the dark area of the picture. The only thing I would change is to raise the shutter speed. It was probably too dark in the area that you were in.
